History

Greybridge Classic Club.

The Greybridge Classic Club began as a project with a small group in 2009, all of whom had a particular interest in Die Cast models and everything vintage.  In that year we began what has now become our annual harvest day charity event.  For the first two years this event consisted of a display of die cast models and vintage machinery  then in 2010 due to popular demand the show moved to a larger site and expanded to include what has now become one of our most popular events the Silage Cutting.

In October 2011 we formally registered as a club and what started with just a handful of members now consists of over 82 members the following year we started the first single brand tractor logo line up which consisted of the three triangles of Massey Ferguson. In 2013 we had a record number of tractors line up for the Ford oval logo, with a great representation of models coming from the four corners of the country.  We had two lorry loads of Counties join us from Co. Armagh, and from Cork we had the very impressive FW60, the Silver Jubilee, along with the boy’s from Courtback who joined us as part of their tractor run with again a great variety of well turned out tractors, we also had tractors travel from Sligo, Waterford, Wexford and of course our own local clubs were really a fantastic support to us on the day.

And though the oval looked impressive it wasn’t the only event on the day, 12 harvesters of various sizes and ages competed against each other in the silage cutting, in addition there a great variety of vintage cars and lorries, along with the escort club and die cast displays, and lots of family activities.

The club is a non-profit organisation and all events are run on a voluntary basis with great support from all the members and their families.  To date the club has donated over €90,000 to charity our main charity recipient has been Cliona’s Foundation additional charities which have received contributions include:
